The Jenny Craig Diet is much like the Nutrisystem diet we talked about before, but a little more expensive meals.  Some people believe it is worth it because unlike Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig helps guide you to make healthy lifestyle changes for good—so you can not only lose the weight, but keep it off!  Jenny Craig also evaluates your activity level, and encourages you to exercise regularly.

Medifast Diet

Medifast is much like the two programs listed above, but instead of ready-to-go microwavable food pouches, Medifast sends you packages that you mix with water and microwave/refrigerate.   This means that the quality of food is likely to be less, plus the variety to choose from is smaller.   The Medifast Diet allows you to lose weight quickly at about 2-5 pounds a week, for the cost of 11 dollars a day.

Bistro MD

Bistro MD offers high quality food as its controlled meal plan, which many people prefer.  The foods are cooked fresh by cooks and delivered frozen to your door.  The meals are doctor approved and great tasting, but that comes with a price of 18 dollars or more a day!  While it is more expensive, the food and nutrition you will receive is well worth it to some!  Average people lose about 2 to 3 pounds per day, plus get great ideas for meals to cook when the diet is over!  There are also staff dieticians you can refer you questions to at any time.

South Beach Diet

The South Beach Diet offers you all the tools to losing weight.  It provides you with over 1,000 recipes you can make from home, plus an eating out guide.  It also provides you with many tips to simply cook your favorite meals differently to make them healthier.  You also receive individual nutrition counseling, daily emails, and can participate in an online journal.

Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers focuses on keeping your weight off long term.  The diet and meetings help you eat smarter, move more, get support, and teaches you healthy habits.  The “Momentum Program” is a program that helps you handle and control your hunger, learn about filling foods, and provides you with the latest research and a simple-to-follow plan.  96% of Weight Watchers would recommend Weight Watchers’ meetings to a friend.

Jillian Michaels

THe Jillian Michaels’ program is one that is about eating right and EXERCISING.  Jullian focuses on the mental and physical sides of weight loss and helps you lose weight and stay fit for LIFE.  She is all about exercise, but she focuses on healthy, nutritious foods that will help fuel your weight loss as well.  There is also a team blog that member can go to for support.

The Duke Diet

The Duke Diet is great for shy people who would like to lose weight.  You can do everything online on your own, or you can chat to Duke’s weight loss experts online or on the phone.  You will get daily meal plans, support, and customized exercise routines to help YOU lose weight within the comfort of your own home.  They have 16 online tools available to members to help create everyone’s personalized weight loss plan.
