Portion Control – Just like everything in life, too much of anything is a bad thing. This is why it is essential to allow yourself a little room to include some of your favorite foods. Cutting out all of your favorite foods will not only decrease your chances of staying on a diet, but it also increases your chances of binging. It is beneficial for you to eat foods you love and still lose weight. You can have a little treat here and there, but learn to eat a lower fat version of it. When you write it down it puts your diet in perspective and allows you calculate your calories and fat a lot more consistently.

You should also keep in mind that the quality of workout is vital. If you spend an hour exercising without really pushing yourself then this is providing little benefit. (more…)
