Cayenne is another herb that can aid in weight loss. Cayenne stimulates saliva and digestion along with accelerating the metabolism. This is a safer way to lose weight. Green Tea and Seaweed have also been added to the list of safe herbal weight loss products. Green tea is similar to that of coffee but is full of antioxidants. Seaweed is a thyroid stimulant and can help individuals with thyroid problems lose weight as long as they are not taking any type of thyroid medication. Other herbal weigh loss programs that are effective for some individuals include Bitter Orange, Coleus, Garcinia Cambogia, Guaraná, Guggul, Spirulina, and St. John’s Wort.

Remember, if you wish to learn more about herbal weight loss and its effectiveness you should discuss this with your physician. Some herbal weigh loss products should not be taken with other medications including seaweed if you are taking thyroid medication. You should never start taking herbs without first talking with your physician as many of the herbs may not work properly with medications or you may endanger your health by mixing certain medications with herbs.
