Exercise and a healthy way of life go a long way in the prevention of colon cancer. Exercise stimulates your body functions and helps the body get rid of toxins and chemicals that might produce polyps and colon cancer. It is harder for polyps to develop in a body that functions properly than in one that remains inactive most of the time.
Exercise stimulates bowl movements and digestion. Any person who is used to eating all kinds of saturated fats and tons of carbohydrates, leaving them inside their bodies for it to process them whenever possible is in danger of colon cancer. Polyps develop under unsanitary conditions and when the muscles around the colon are weak or overexerted. When a person is not regular or suffers a lot from constipation, the passing of hard feces may tear the colon’s mucous tissue and allow infection to settle opening the possibility of polyps developing.
